On March
4, 1962, the Stratford Community Concert Band performed its first concert
at the Bunnell High School Auditorium. The concert took place on
a Sunday afternoon at 2:30 PM and was the beginning of a long tradition
which has given joy not only to the audiences who have attended these concerts,
but to the players as well.

original members, Elliot David on trumpet, Dr. George Jacobson on baritone
