Bob Butler

Bob Butler, affectionately known as Bobby, plays euphonium with the band. He began studying trumpet at age seven. Bobby studied locally and in New York, including the Julliard School. He played first trumpet with the First Army Band and now plays with local dance and jazz bands in addition to the Stratford and Milford Community Bands. Bobby also plays the saxophone and the trombonium. In addition to performing at the 1962 Newport Jazz Festival, he played with bands that did shows headlining Tony Bennett, Dave Brubeck, Leonard Bernstein, Mel Torme, Henny Youngman, Johnny Carson, Doc Severinson and others.
