    Dr. Deborah Cook

Music has always been an important part of her life.  Debbie has played clarinet for over 24 years.  She started playing in grade school and continued through high school.  While achieving a BS in Chemistry at John Carroll University in Univerity Heighte, OH and an MS in Clinical Chemistry at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH, she was an active participant in the concert bands at the Universities.

Debbie's interest in playing did not end there; she was a member of the Lakeland Civic Band in Mentor, OH while she acquired a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, OH.  After completing a residency in Primary Podiatric Medicine at University Hospitals Health Systems-Richmond Heights Hospital in Richmond Heights, OH, she came to Connecticut to further her post graduate training.

Through a contact in the Lakeland Civic Band, Debbie was put in touch with SCCB.  Fiding a community band to join while in Connecticut was important to her.  Being a member of SCCB has been a great experience.  It has been an asset to her experience being in SCCB this year while participating in a Medical/Surgical Podiatric Post Graduate Training Fellowship Program with Milford Podiatry Associates.  In addition to SCCB, Debbie is also a member of the Milford Concert Band.  IN addition to playing the clarinet, Debbie also plays the guitar.

Professionally, Debbie is a resident member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Conecticut Podiatric Medical Association.
